We Have No Territorial Claims Against Any Other Country: Suren Papikyan

We have no territorial claims against any other country: This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Armenia, Suren Papikyan, during a broadcast on Public TV.

According to the Defense Minister, the Armed Forces of Armenia have one task - to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia.

Suren Papikyan also touched upon the topic of conscription. He noted, "We lack willingness to serve, which is demonstrated by the fact that many are trying to evade military service through indirect means. There is a directive for all relevant authorities to address this issue," said Papikyan.

He informed that those military personnel who are properly prepared for certification or are preparing for it, even if they were not ready before, can receive significantly higher salaries.

“Despite all the pessimists, certification has led to the fact that we see motivation and competition in the army, bringing significant successes,” he said.
