Presidential Elections Have Begun in Azerbaijan

Today, early presidential elections are taking place in Azerbaijan. Seven candidates are participating in the elections, including the incumbent president, Ilham Aliyev, who is the nominee from the ruling "Yeni Azerbaijan" party. He has held the presidential position since 2003.

In addition to Aliyev, the following candidates have also been nominated:

1. Self-nominated Zahid Oruc
2. Razi Nurullayev from the "National Front" party
3. Fazil Mustafa, a representative from the "Great Azerbaijan" party and a member of the Milli Mejlis
4. Elshad Musayev from the "Great Azerbaijan" party
5. Gudrat Hasanguliyev from the "Complete People's Front of Azerbaijan" party
6. Self-nominated Fuad Aliyev
