Video: Senior Police Officer Embezzles Gasoline Assigned to His Control

Through operational-investigative measures and internal investigations conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs' Department of Internal Security and Anti-Corruption, it has been revealed that an individual holding a senior position in the police, in order to operate the service vehicles of his unit this January, obtained vouchers for 8,000 liters of gasoline from the automotive fleet on December 28, which, however, were no longer in his possession by January 9. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.

He claimed that he returned the vouchers to various gas stations in Yerevan in exchange for debt, a statement that was contradicted by the internal investigation.

Thus, the official, by using his governmental or service authority or the influence related to it, embezzled the gasoline assigned to his control. The documents have been forwarded to the Prosecutor General's Office to determine the next steps.
