Video: The Most Snow Fell on Facebook, Says Avinyan

We have not had problems on the main roads, nor on the secondary roads. Our issues have mainly been recorded on sidewalks and intra-block territories, where this problem still exists. This was stated today by Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan during a regular procedural meeting of the city hall.

“Here I find it very important to involve all available resources, as stipulated by law and council decisions, specifically the private sector, which is also required to join these efforts. They should be informed at a minimum. I am concerned that we are the only ones discussing this today and, in fact, I do not see significant active participation from the private sector,” noted Avinyan. This, he added, is also among our problems.

According to him, the fine amount may indeed be reduced. “I also understand that perhaps the fine amount is less, but we can approach this in a collaborative manner. I ask all administrative districts to send relevant personnel today. We need to define the responsibility for cleaning the sidewalks, assigning it to all those businesses operating there,” he said.

Avinyan also pointed out the main issue: “Our problem continues to be the courtyard areas and sidewalks, and of course, the biggest issue is that the most snow fell on Facebook,” added the mayor.
