Roads Closed and Impassable in Armenia

Until February 15, due to road repair works, the section of the M-6 highway between Vanadzor and Alaverdi will be closed for buses and freight vehicles with trailers or semi-trailers at kilometers 38-40. A detour route will be available through the city of Noyemberyan.

In the Aragatsotn province, the roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and to Kari Lake are closed. The Vardenyats pass (blizzard) and the section of the Spitak-Gyumri highway from kilometers 18 to 27 (blizzard) are also closed, along with the Berd-Chambarak road and inter-community roads near the Ashotsk region and Lake Arpi for all types of vehicles.

The road leading from the Jermuk junction to the Syunik province is blocked for trucks with trailers. Roads including Jrarber-Fantan (blizzard), Kaputan-Zovashen (blizzard), Alagyaz-Tsilkar, Norashen-Alagyaz, Ashotsk-Vardablur and various routes in the Amasia region are difficult to navigate for all types of vehicles.

In the regions of "Meghri mountain" (snow) and in the section called Shinuhairst-Zanger in the Aparan region, there is a blizzard. The Saravan-Zanger section is experiencing fog. Snow is falling in the cities of Jermuk, Hrazdan, and Charentsavan.
