QP Leader Comments on Pashinyan's Statement About Passing Through Bulls in a Red Dress
The statement of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about passing through bulls in a red dress is an allegorical example and does not imply a rejection of identity at all. This was asserted by the head of the QP faction, Hayk Konjoryan, during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly.
“In my opinion, yes, identity is what we have inherited, but the most important component of identity is what we also shape through our behavior. Identity is also what we forge in our relationship with the world because if the world presents us with a challenge and we ignore that challenge, we will not be competitive,” said Konjoryan.
He noted that in order to face challenges in the region, we need to rethink our internal rules and the Constitution. Konjoryan added that it is the people who decide who is in power and who is the Prime Minister. “Nikol Pashinyan is the elected Prime Minister of Armenia, the people have formed the power, and only the people can change it,” he emphasized.
