It is Absolutely Not a Demand from Azerbaijan: Haik Konjoryan

Changing the Constitution is absolutely not a demand from Azerbaijan. This was assured by Haik Konjoryan, the head of the Civil Contract faction, during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly.

"This is an internal agenda of the Republic of Armenia, it is about the state of Armenia, it is about the citizens of the Republic of Armenia," he said.

According to Konjoryan, we will all benefit if we can set aside the propagandistic noise during this discussion and have a substantial dialogue.

"The discussions about the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the Fourth Republic that are ongoing and will continue are about our self-reflection," he noted.

The representative of the Civil Contract stated that the party does not have a final conclusion, and the discussion has unfolded after Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's remarks made at the Ministry of Justice.

"Now both we, the opposition, and the public will present our approaches and positions, and later, when there is a draft and a text, everyone will be informed about it; it is too early to make final conclusions now," Konjoryan emphasized.
