US Senate Allocates Three Times More Funding to Ukraine Than Border Defense
The US Senate has introduced a compromise bill regarding border security, support for Ukraine, and assistance to Israel.
In total, it includes $118.28 billion, of which $60 billion is allocated to Ukraine, three times less—$20.2 billion—for border defense, $14.1 billion for Israel, with an additional $10 billion for humanitarian aid, which includes Gaza, the West Bank, and Ukraine, as well as $4.83 billion for measures to 'counter China' in the Indo-Pacific region.
US President Joe Biden has already defended the Senate bill, urging for its swift passage.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, in discussing the Senate bill, stated, 'It is even worse than we expected; the initiative is doomed to fail.'
