Snow Falls in Several Regions of the Republic, Reports Ministry of Emergency Situations

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed and hard-to-pass roads across the territory of Armenia.

The roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to Amberd Fortress and Kar lake are closed.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for heavy vehicles and difficult for other types of transport.

The winding roads of Stepanavan are also difficult for heavy vehicles.

In the Vayots Dzor region, snow is falling in the cities of Charentsavan, Hrazdan, Abovyan, as well as in the Saravan-Zanger and Meghru Mountain areas.

According to information received from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of Russia’s North Ossetia, the Stepanstinda-Lars road is closed for heavy vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
