Putin to Visit Turkey: Agenda Revealed

Turkey anticipates discussing gas issues, the Akkuyu nuclear power plant project, the situation in Syria, and the circumstances in the Gaza Strip during Russian President Vladimir Putin's upcoming visit to the country. This was stated by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in an interview with A Haber.

According to him, Russia's stance on the Gaza Strip amid the war between Hamas and Israel is closely aligned with Turkey's position. “Russia's position is the same as ours regarding humanitarian aid delivery, the prompt cessation of the war, and the resolution of the two-state issue,” Fidan said.

The Turkish minister also noted that Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will “definitely” discuss the grain deal with Ukraine. He asserted that the Turkish leader places “great importance” on this matter.
