Most of the Victims from the Fuel Depot Explosion in Artsakh Have Returned from Treatment Abroad, Avanesyan Says
Most of the citizens who suffered burns from the explosion at the fuel depot in Nagorno-Karabakh and were receiving treatment abroad have already returned to Armenia. This was stated by the Minister of Health of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, in an interview with Sputnik Armenia.
“About two dozen patients had gone abroad for treatment. They traveled to the USA, France, Belgium, Spain, Bulgaria, and several other countries,” she said.
The minister reminded that only one patient is still under inpatient care in Yerevan, while the others are receiving outpatient treatment.
Let us recall that on September 25, a powerful explosion occurred at a gasoline depot near Stepanakert. The President of Artsakh, Samvel Shahramanyan, had previously stated that the large number of casualties was due to the incident occurring in the Ministry of Defense's secure zone and the failure to adhere to basic safety regulations. At that time, 349 patients had been transferred to Armenia from healthcare institutions in Artsakh, most of whom were in serious and extremely critical condition.
