Director of Synergy Company Arrested

The director of Synergy Company, broadcaster Lusine Tovmasyan's father-in-law, Ashot Hovhannisyan, who leads one of the IT sector’s pioneers, Synergy, has been arrested for two months by the decision of Anti-Corruption Court judge Vahe Dolmazyan. This was reported by a 24News correspondent from the court.

It is recalled that he was detained within the framework of a criminal case being conducted in the Ministry of Economy, in which the former Deputy Minister Ani Ispriryan is currently in custody, along with Ani Gevorgyan, a former employee of Synergy and the wife of National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan.

As previously reported, the hearing regarding his case has also concluded, but the court's decision has yet to be announced.
