The press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, stated during a briefing that Armenia's membership in the International Criminal Court (ICC) is the country's sovereign right. The information was relayed by gazeta.ru.
“But it is important for us that such decisions do not adversely affect our bilateral relations, which we cherish and hope to develop further,” Peskov said.
As of February 1, Armenia officially became a member of the International Criminal Court, marking the country as the ICC's 124th member state and the 19th from Eastern Europe.
