Armenia's Assembly Speaker Alen Simonian's Brother Refuses to Talk About Wife's Detention

Karl Simonyan, the brother of Armenia's Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan, was outside the Anti-Corruption Court. Factor.am attempts to gather information regarding the detention of his wife, Ani Gevorgyan, but Karl Simonyan refused to answer questions.

"I have no comment," he stated, avoiding questions about whether his wife's arrest is connected to the case involving the arrest of the Deputy Minister of Economy.

According to reports, the Investigative Committee has presented a motion for preliminary detention of Ani Gevorgyan for two months. Gevorgyan worked at the 'Synergy' company, which, according to media sources, has collaborated with the Ministry of Economy, where arrests and searches were taking place yesterday.
