Road Conditions in Armenia

The Rescue Service informs that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia. Until February 15, due to road repair work, the section of the M-6 highway near the 38-40 km between Vanadzor and Alaverdi will be closed for buses and trucks with trailers or semi-trailers. A detour will operate through the city of Noyemberyan.

The roads from the high-altitude meteorological station 'Amberd' in Aragatsotn Province to the Amberd Fortress and to Lake Kari are closed. The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers, and difficult for other types of vehicles to navigate. The serpentine roads of Stepanavan are difficult for trucks with trailers.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of the North Ossetia Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
