Forbes on Armenian Tsaghkunk near Lake Sevan

Caroline Eden, an author of travel and culinary books, has visited the village of Tsaghkunk near Lake Sevan. Her latest book, titled 'Cold Kitchen,' is set to be released in May. In an interview with the prestigious Forbes magazine, Eden shared her impressions of the village: 'Temples, music, museums, art, trekking... Add to that the incredibly delicious food and wine,' she noted.

'The name of the village is not easy to pronounce, and it's even harder to reach there, but if you are interested in local flavors, you definitely must visit Tsaghkunk. Local chefs are very inventive, using mushrooms and herbs gathered from the surroundings in many dishes. And the bread, more precisely the Armenian traditional lavash, is baked in a clay tandir,' Eden explained.

The village is located an hour away from Yerevan. Eden recommended travelers to taste the delicious blintz filled with yogurt and mountain herbs while in Tsaghkunk. She described it as crunchy on the outside and very soft on the inside.
