Snow, Blizzard, Fog: Road Situation Updates

The Emergency Service reports that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia.

Until February 15, due to road renovation works, the M-6 highway section near the 38-40 km mark between Vanadzor and Alaverdi will be closed for buses and heavy trucks with trailers or semi-trailers. An alternative route will be operational through the town of Noyemberyan.

The roads from the "Amberd" high mountainous meteorological station in Aragatsotn province to the Amberd fortress and K'ari lake are closed.

The Kapan-Aghvani road is closed for heavy trucks. The Dilijan-Vanadzor road is closed for trucks with trailers.

The Vardenyats Pass (snow, blizzard, fog) is closed for trucks with trailers, and difficult to navigate for other types of vehicles.

The Stepanavan bends are difficult to navigate for trucks with trailers. In the Syunik region, snow is reported in the towns of Masis, Vedi, Jambarak, Jermuk, as well as in the regions of Ashtarak, Dilijan, and the segment known as Saravan-"Zanger".

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Emergency Management Center of the North Ossetia Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is open for all types of vehicles.
