Ashot Aharonyan Resigns from Service
The Head of the Public Relations and Information Department of the RA Police, Ashot Aharonyan, has been relieved of his duties. He announced this on his Facebook page.
“A significant chapter of my biography has come to an end, a thirty-year service in the police force. From correspondent to head of the information department, from lieutenant to colonel, from an inexperienced journalist to a position where people value and appreciate your words. For three decades, the police have meant more to me than just a workplace,” Aharonyan wrote.
He thanked everyone he worked and collaborated with, and apologized for any possible shortcomings and oversights. He also urged his fellow colleagues to continue living and working not for the sake of ‘I’, but for the sake of ‘we’.
It is noteworthy that Ashot Aharonyan was appointed as the Head of the Public Relations and Information Department of the police on May 4, 2011.
