Turkish Side Confident That the 'Zangezur Corridor' Will Open Soon - Akar

The 'Zangezur Corridor' is very important not only for Turkey but also for the entire region. This was stated by Hulusi Akar, a member of the Turkish Grand National Assembly and chairman of the parliamentary defense committee, after a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Akar expressed confidence that the 'Zangezur Corridor' will open soon.

"The corridor is essential for Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey, Iran, as well as Russia. Its utilization will lead to significant socio-economic growth and tourism development," said the Turkish lawmaker. He emphasized that Turkey believes that the parties will reach an agreement.

It should be noted that the Armenian side has repeatedly stated that no issues regarding the corridor have been discussed or are being discussed.
