Trade Points Must Ensure QR Codes in the Shortest Possible Time: State Revenue Committee

The Market Supervision Inspectorate announces that amendments have been made to the "Law on Trade and Services" by the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on September 14, 2022. Article 9, paragraph 25 of the Law stipulates that business entities operating in the field of liquid fuels, compressed natural gas, liquefied petroleum, or hydrocarbon gases (according to addresses) are required to have a rapid response QR code containing information about the periods and results of previous inspections conducted in the field of metrology.

The provision and availability of the code is carried out by the Market Supervision Inspectorate. The provided code must be placed by the business entity on the fuel dispensing columns or equipment with prior agreement with the Market Supervision Inspectorate, in a readable and visible area for drivers.

Not having the QR code as stipulated in Article 9, paragraph 25 of the Law results in a penalty as per Article 158, paragraph 45 of the Administrative Offenses Code of Armenia, which amounts to three hundred times the minimum wage.

The Market Supervision Inspectorate urges businesses to ensure that their trading points are equipped with QR codes in the shortest possible time by visiting the Market Supervision Inspectorate (Komitas 49/2),
