The King is required to "spend some time in rest," which has resulted in the postponement of all events he was scheduled to attend. Reports suggest that this period may last about a month.

Earlier, it was reported that the British monarch would undergo a planned corrective procedure due to prostate enlargement. He was hospitalized on January 26.

Meanwhile, Catherine, the Princess of Wales, was in the same clinic at the same time, having undergone a planned abdominal surgery. She was also discharged on January 29 and is expected to require several months for recovery.
