Tigran Avinyan Dismisses Head of Snow Removal at City Hall; Who Will Replace Him?

Due to heavy snowfall in Yerevan and unmet obligations, Bagrat Agajanian, the director of the Yerevan refuse collection and sanitation service, has been dismissed from his position. This was reported by ArmLur.am, referencing its sources.

According to our information, Bagrat Agajanian will be replaced by Sasha Katvalyan, the former mayor of the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district and a member of the ruling party, who previously also held the position of advisor to the Mayor of Yerevan.

It is noteworthy that Sasha Katvalyan and other members of the ruling party were detained by law enforcement last autumn on suspicions of improper conduct in procurement processes, the website reports.

Mayor Tigran Avinyan, Sasha Katvalyan, and Bagrat Agajanian are currently at the City Hall, according to the newspaper “Zhoghovurd.”
