Updated Information on Roads
The Rescue Service informs that there are closed and difficult-to-pass roads in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
Closed roads include those from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to the Amberd Fortress and the Karo Lake in the Aragatsotn Province.
The Berd-Chambarak and the road from the city of Tashir to the village of Vardaghbyur in Shirak Province are closed due to a snowstorm.
The roads through the slopes of Stepanavan, Dilijan, the Vardenyats Pass, Vanadzor-Alaverdi, Vanadzor-Dilijan, Ijevan-Noyemberyan, Vazashen-Paravakar, Noravan-Ltzen-Tatev, Harjis-Goris, and Shinohayr-Tatev, as well as the road from the Syunik village to the area known as "Zanger" are closed for transport with trailers.
The Vardenyats Pass, the area known as "Meghru Sar," the roads from Amasia to Berdashent, Gogavan-Stepavan, and Blagadarnoe-Katnarat are difficult to pass for all types of vehicles.
In the Vardenyats Pass, as well as on the Harjis-Shinohayr, Berd-Chambarak roads and on the road section from Tashir city to the village of Vardaghbyur in Shirak Province, a snowstorm is ongoing.
According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Situations Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for transport with trailers.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
