Roads Closed in Armenia Due to Heavy Snowfall and Blizzards

The Road Department reports that as of January 26, at 19:35, snowfall is occurring in the regions of Talin, Ani, Artik, Achajur, and Ashotik.

The Vanadzor-Dilijan route is closed for vehicles with trailers. Due to blizzard conditions, the Vardenyats Pass is closed for vehicles with trailers, while other types of vehicles can pass with difficulty. Due to heavy snowfall and blizzard conditions, the Ttujur-Navur roadway is closed for all types of vehicles. The Stepanavan Pass is difficult to traverse for trailer vehicles.

Other interstate and national highways remain open. Road construction crews are actively working on snow removal and treating the roads with salt and sand.
