80-Year-Old Driver Dies Suddenly While Driving, Crashes into Building Wall

On January 23rd, a tragic incident occurred in the Aragatsotn region. At approximately 5:30 PM, 80-year-old Edward B. from Aragatsotn drove his VAZ 2106 car and veered into the opposing lane in front of the building at 98 Tigran Mets Street in Ashtarak, crashing into a stone wall.

According to Shamshyan, as a result of the crash, Edward B. died on the spot. The preliminary examination conducted by the forensic expert found no signs of violence on the body.

Initial information indicates that the cause of the accident was Edward B. suffering a fatal medical episode while driving. Following the investigator's directive, the vehicle has been moved to the special storage of the Ashtarak police department.

A criminal case has been initiated by the Aragatsotn Regional Investigative Department regarding the incident.
