Photos: Disastrous Conditions on Yerevan-Sevan Highway as Over 40 Cars Collide Due to Black Ice

Today, on January 12, a major chain accident occurred in the Kotayk region due to black ice on the road. Around 8:00 PM, over 40 vehicles collided on the 107th km of the Ijevan-Sevan-Yerevan highway.

Photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan reports from the scene that there are injuries resulting from the accident. The road has become completely impassable due to the collision and several other accidents, and patrol officers are struggling to approach the damaged vehicles, slipping and falling themselves, while drivers express their frustration towards the road maintenance personnel.

At this moment, the patrol officers and a representative from
