The Season for Acute Respiratory Infections in Armenia

The period from the 40th week of the year to the 20th week of the following year is considered the season for acute respiratory infections. This was announced by the Ministry of Health.

Currently, in Armenia, the circulating strains include the A subtype of influenza H3N2, the A subtype of influenza H1N1, and influenza B. Other respiratory infections present include parainfluenza, respiratory syncytial virus, rhinovirus, metapneumovirus, adenovirus, bocavirus, and the SARS-COV-2 coronavirus, as well as co-infections, particularly between bocavirus, rhinovirus, respiratory syncytial virus, bocavirus, adenovirus, and influenza AH3N2 adenovirus strains.
