Defense Ministry Spokesman on the Transfer of Sheep from Aravus to Azerbaijan

The Ministry of Defense informs the public about the situation on the front line, border incidents, and violations in a proper manner. No incidents, ceasefire violations, or even attempts to infiltrate have occurred, said Defense Ministry Press Secretary Aram Torosyan in an interview with Aysor.am.

“As for the circumstances surrounding the transfer of sheep to the Azerbaijani side, they are currently being investigated by the relevant authorities. The appropriate subdivision of the Ministry of Defense constantly monitors media publications related to the sector and comments or responds as necessary and appropriate,” reported Aram Torosyan.

It should be noted that in a conversation with the media, the mayor of Tegh and a council member stated that Azerbaijanis had stolen about 230 sheep from Aravus. Tegh council member Argam Hovsepyan said there were about 300 sheep: “It was during the grazing season. They came a bit closer to their border, and they stole the rest. The shepherd, aged 73, took off and they took the 230 sheep.”
