Passenger Steals Taxi on Tigran Mets Avenue

On January 18, a resident of the village of Arevshat in the Ararat region called the operational management center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, reporting that at 7:00 PM, a passenger had stolen his 'VАЗ-2115', which was being operated as a taxi, during his absence on Tigran Mets Avenue in Yerevan. This was announced by the Police of the Republic of Armenia.

Thanks to the measures taken by the criminal investigators of the Erebuni police department, it was determined that the car was stolen by a 33-year-old man.

On January 19 at 00:50, officers from the 1st platoon of the 1st company of the Ararat battalion of the Police discovered the specified vehicle on the Yerevan-Ararat highway near the city of Artashat and transported it to the Artashat police station. The 33-year-old driver of the vehicle and a 49-year-old passenger were arrested. The completed documents have been forwarded to the investigative department.

A criminal case has been initiated.
