Body of Russian Citizen Found in Newly Constructed Elite Building

On January 19, a tragic incident occurred in one of the elite buildings under construction in Yerevan. At around 18:00, the 'Arabkir' branch of the Yerevan Emergency Medical Response received a call and reported to the Police Department of Arabkir that group number 17 had responded to a location at 44/48 Agbyur Serob Street, where a male body was discovered.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, police and investigators determined that during construction work at the specified address, the man accidentally fell from a height, apparently from the penultimate or last floor, and died on the spot. It was later confirmed that he was 69-year-old Sarkis T. from the Russian Federation.

A criminal case has been initiated in the Arabkir Investigation Department under the charge of 'violation of safety rules or requirements during construction, mining, or other work, which has negligently resulted in a person's death.' A forensic examination of the body has been ordered by the investigator.
