Establishing a Palestinian State in Gaza Is Impossible, Netanyahu
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated during a national press conference that the establishment of a Palestinian state after the end of operations in Gaza is not feasible, a position he has communicated to the United States.
“Netanyahu denied the idea of Palestinian statehood. He mentioned that he has brought this stance to the attention of the Americans,” reports the Associated Press.
“According to any future agreement, Israel needs security control over all the territory west of the Jordan River. This contradicts the idea of sovereignty. So, what can we do? The Prime Minister must be able to say no to our friends,” the agency quotes him as saying.
