Which Citizens Will Be Provided Compensation for Deposits
Compensation for monetary deposits made in the USSR Savings Bank of the Armenian SSR until June 10, 1993, will continue. According to the government's decision, compensation for deposits will be provided to citizens born on or before June 30, 1941.
This information was shared by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, reminding that citizens entitled to compensation for their deposits have the opportunity to receive their funds either in cash or non-cash form.
Deposit holders can apply in person (via a legal representative or a representative acting on the basis of a power of attorney) to the territorial center of the Unified Social Service at their registered residence, submitting the following documents:
- an identification document or identification card,
- the deposit holder's public services number or social security card, or a certificate indicating the absence of a public services number (hereafter referred to as the public services number),
- the deposit holder's savings book (if available),
- information from VTB Armenia about the deposit holder's bank account as of June 10, 1993,
- other documents as necessary.
Compensation rights also extend to:
- participants in combat operations of the Armed Forces of Armenia, including those whose deposits were made by a deceased spouse during their marriage,
- persons registered in border communities as of August 1, 2014, listed in Annex 1 of Government Decision No. 1444-N dated December 18, 2014, as well as conscripts from these communities who were serving in mandatory military service as of August 1, 2014, including those whose deposits were made by a deceased spouse during their marriage,
- persons who inherited deposits made in the names of soldiers or volunteers who died while participating in combat operations or performing combat duty or special missions, or those missing in action.
