VIDEO: Russia Shells 8 Settlements in Ukraine, Casualties and Damages Reported
Russia shelled 8 settlements in Ukraine overnight. At least 20 people were injured in Odesa and Kharkiv.
The Russian military launched attacks on Ukrainian cities, including Kharkiv and Odesa, during the night of January 17, resulting in at least 20 injuries, with some in serious condition, according to Interior Minister Igor Klymenko.
In Kharkiv, the occupiers carried out 2 missile strikes, injuring 17 individuals. Emergency service units rescued one person and evacuated 30 residents. The strikes damaged two dozen multi-story buildings and vehicles.
Additionally, in Odesa, 3 people were injured in an attack involving strike drones. Rescuers evacuated 130 residents, and civilian infrastructure sustained damages. A mobile heating point was set up at the site, with psychologists involved to assist.
Russian military forces also targeted the regions of Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, and Sumy. “Fortunately, there were no casualties. Overall, this night, 10 shellings were recorded against 8 settlements across the country,” the Minister of Internal Affairs stated.
