Video: Drug Users Discovered in Voskehat and Taronik Villages of Armavir

Officers from the Vagharshapat division of the police received operational information that a 35-year-old resident of Voskehat village in the Armavir region was cultivating cannabis in his backyard and was in possession of and using narcotics at his home and auxiliary structures. This has been reported by the Police.

As part of a criminal investigation initiated by the Vagharshapat investigative division, the information was verified on January 11. The 35-year-old man presented two packages containing a total of approximately 45 grams of a greenish substance. He stated that he had prepared the marijuana from cannabis plants for personal use.

Similar information was received by the Vagharshapat detectives two days later regarding a 64-year-old resident of Taronik village. On January 13, police officers visited Taronik, and through explanatory work, the man agreed to present the substance he had. A criminal proceeding was initiated. The 64-year-old man presented a package containing approximately 22 grams of substance and stated that he had made the marijuana himself for personal use.

In both cases, the circumstances are being investigated.
