VIDEO: Police Provide Details on Incident Involving Tiran Khachatryan

The Police of the Republic of Armenia has provided new details regarding the shooting incident that occurred in the village of Aramus. It was reported that on January 11, at 23:00, a citizen who called the operational management center of the Police of Kotayk Province reported a fight in Aramus and requested that police respond.

While the operational group was hurrying to Aramus, a new report was received at 23:39 from the Abovyan Medical Center, stating that an ambulance had transported a man born in 1977 from the village of Aramus for medical assistance. The injury was gunshot-related, and doctors had removed a bullet. One shell casing was found at the scene.

As a result of operational-investigative measures and investigative actions, the identity of the individual who inflicted the gunshot injury on the 47-year-old man was established. He was found at one of the hotels in the Jrvajh neighborhood, arrested, and taken to the Kotayk Police Station. A personal search revealed a CZ-75 type combat pistol with 16 bullets in the magazine and one additional bullet in the chamber.

The relevant documents have been sent to the Investigative Committee. The circumstances of the case are being clarified.
