Pakistan Launches Military Operations Against Terrorists, Not Iran: Media Reports
Pakistan has launched military operations not against Iran, but against terrorists. This was reported by the Russian-language service of Pars Today, citing Pakistani media.
"The Pakistan Army is commencing military operations against terrorist groups near the Iranian border to improve border security with the Islamic Republic of Iran," the media outlet's Telegram post stated.
Previously, it was reported that the foreign ministers of Iran and Pakistan, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Jalil Abbas Jilani, had a telephone conversation. The corresponding message was circulated by the Iranian Foreign Ministry website.
The Iranian Foreign Minister spoke about the friendly relations with Pakistan and emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation and communication. Amir-Abdollahian stated that Tehran respects Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Earlier, Amir-Abdollahian clarified that the targets of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) missile strikes on Pakistan were solely the terrorists of the "Jaish al-Zolm" group. He mentioned that members of this group had connections with Israel.
