Is it possible for Tigran Avinyan to apologize to those he compared to flies, namely the individuals who expressed their concerns about the demolition of tennis courts in Circular Park? This question was posed to Hayk Kostanyan, the press secretary of the Mayor of Yerevan, during a briefing.

In response, Kostanyan stated, "I don’t think Mr. Avinyan meant the adequate individuals who genuinely have concerns. If I’m not mistaken, he mentioned that some want to gain certain political dividends. That’s whom he was referring to."

When asked whether this implies there is a list of people who can be compared to flies, he replied, "Logic suggests that if adequate criticism is directed at anyone, we consider it normal, but when unfounded and insulting remarks are made, everyone decides for themselves what evaluation to give."

Earlier, we reported that days ago, Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan addressed the issue of demolishing tennis courts in Circular Park, stating, "The solutions here are very clear for us; the 'Ararat' club will definitely be provided with a space, it will continue to operate, and we will ensure that this program is implemented before the courts are moved, meaning we should have another suitable location for the club before we start the demolition works. Regarding the restoration of green areas, various buildings also need to be demolished in this section to return the area to the Yerevan residents. The noise here has been significant; all kinds of pseudo-experts started commenting on this issue, even reaching the conclusion that this is corruption.
