Humanitarian Aid Volumes Sent to Armenia Drastically Decrease
According to data published by the Statistical Committee, Armenia received approximately $33 million worth of humanitarian aid from January to November 2023, representing a 38.4% decrease compared to the same period last year when the aid amounted to $86 million.
The largest share of the humanitarian aid consists of products from the chemical and related industries, amounting to about $23.5 million. This is followed by machinery, equipment, and mechanisms, which accounted for nearly $2.2 million, and textiles, which were valued at $2 million.
During January to November this year, the majority of humanitarian aid was received from the United States, making up 24.4% of the total, equivalent to $8 million. This was followed by Switzerland, contributing 8.6%, approximately $3 million, and China with $1.8 million, or 5.6% of the total. EU countries contributed $15 million, which accounts for 45.2% of the total.
