Cyprus Sends €15,200 Worth of Medicine and Medical Supplies for Displaced Artsakh Residents

The Republic of Cyprus' Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Civil Defense has issued a statement regarding the delivery of humanitarian aid from Cyprus to Armenia via the European Civil Protection Mechanism.

“Cyprus could not remain indifferent to the call of the European Civil Protection Mechanism to send humanitarian assistance to the Armenian people following the dramatic events and military actions resulting in the transfer of more than 100,000 Armenians from Artsakh to Armenia due to Azerbaijan's actions,” the statement reads.

In response to Armenia's request and after the completion of the relevant procedures for the acceptance of Artsakh Armenians, Cyprus has sent €15,200 worth of medical supplies (medications and medical materials) for the treatment of refugees displaced from Artsakh. The shipment was carried out yesterday afternoon by air, with Cyprus Airways providing the transport free of charge.

We would like to publicly express our warm gratitude for this valuable support and hope that our collaboration will extend to other humanitarian actions and initiatives,” the statement concludes.
