General-Lieutenant Tiran Khachatryan Detained for Two Months

The judge of the first instance general jurisdiction criminal court in Yerevan, Gagik Poghosyan, has granted the request to detain former Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces, General-Lieutenant Tiran Khachatryan, for two months as a preventive measure. This was reported by lawyer Varazdat Harutyunyan.

“Judge Gagik Poghosyan has detained General-Lieutenant Tiran Khachatryan for two months,” he wrote.

Earlier, it was reported that a public criminal prosecution had been initiated against General-Lieutenant Tiran Khachatryan under Article 297, Part 3 of the RA Criminal Code.

It is noteworthy that the former Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Tiran Khachatryan, was arrested in connection with an incident recorded at a restaurant in the Aramus village area.
