An unknown powder letter has been sent to the Russian Embassy in Athens. The information was reported by ERT, the Greek public television. The report is conveyed by RIA Novosti.

"A suspicious letter with an unknown powder composition has arrived at the Russian Embassy," states the publication. Police and firefighting teams have arrived near the diplomatic mission in the Psychiko area. A special response unit for natural disasters has also been dispatched to the scene.

The Russian embassy later reported that there is no threat to the life and safety of its staff. "On the morning of January 12, a letter was received at the embassy from the Greek postal service, which indicated Finland as the country of origin on the label," clarified the diplomatic mission. Greek special services have conducted a preliminary inspection and have taken the letter for further investigation.
