The Mayor of Stepanavan, affiliated with the ruling party, has allegedly attempted to slit the throat of a citizen who approached him regarding a personal matter. This shocking information was reported by lawyer Alexander Kochubayev on his Facebook page.

According to the lawyer, "My client entered the town hall to request a disability certificate and asked to speak with the mayor. However, the security personnel assaulted him, after which the mayor reportedly attempted to cut his throat with a knife. The victim has contacted the police, but the investigation is being delayed, and material evidence has not been collected. The issue may stem from the fact that the mayor's name is linked to Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan. I call on the relevant authorities to pay attention to this matter and demand an effective investigation," he wrote.
