If a citizen pays at least 70 percent of the fine for traffic violations within 15 days, the other half will be considered paid. This proposal was presented to the government by RA Minister of Internal Affairs Vahe Ghazaryan.

By registering to receive fine notifications electronically, the citizen's fine will be reduced by 20 percent of the established amount.

There are previous debts related to fines, and now it is proposed that if a citizen pays 50 percent of their fines registered with the State Revenue Committee from the moment the law is enacted, their debt will be canceled.

“In this case, there is a time limit, which is a three-month period after the law comes into effect. I would like to note that the presented norms of violations mostly apply to administrative violations committed in the area of ensuring road traffic safety,” said the minister.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan clarified that if a citizen registers on the roadpolice.am website and requests that their fines be sent to their electronic address, they will receive a 20 percent discount on all cases.

“In other words, to cancel a fine of 500,000 drams, the citizen must pay 250,000 drams and 6,000 drams (enforcement costs),” said Pashinyan.

There are approximately 2 million enforcement cases in the State Revenue Committee, amounting to around 8 billion drams. Payments must be made within three months after the law is enacted.
