Pentagon Chief Diagnosed with Cancer

Doctors have revealed that Lloyd Austin, the head of the Pentagon, has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. This information has been reported by RT.

It is noted that he underwent surgery at the end of December and was later readmitted to the hospital due to complications, including an infection. Doctors expect the Pentagon chief to make a full recovery, but warn that the process won’t be quick.

The Pentagon reportedly did not inform the White House about Lloyd Austin's hospitalization for three days, according to Politico. The publication, citing anonymous sources, states that this news has shocked the highest levels of U.S. leadership, including National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan.

Austin himself admitted that he should have communicated this to the public sooner. Meanwhile, Republican Senator Tom Cotton has stated that such “shocking actions” should have consequences, as reported by The Washington Post.

Earlier, it was revealed that the official was admitted to the hospital on January 1st due to complications following a planned medical procedure.
