Traffic Violations Recorded by Police in the Last 4 Days
From January 4 to 8, during service conducted in the capital, Yerevan police recorded a total of 2,281 traffic violations, towing 56 vehicles to designated areas. This information has been reported by the police service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In particular, there were 115 instances of driving under the influence, 141 drivers without a valid driver's license. There were also 21 violations related to registration plates, 148 for driving without a seatbelt, 115 for using tobacco products while driving, 38 for using a phone while driving, 129 instances of pedestrians crossing in non-designated areas, and 739 other violations. Additionally, 72 vehicles were operated without a compulsory insurance contract, 112 had not passed technical inspection, 74 had faulty lighting equipment, and 481 were found with tinted windshields and side windows. Furthermore, 46 individuals were arrested and taken to police stations on various suspicions.
During the same period in the regions, police detected 7,032 traffic violations, moving 106 vehicles to designated areas. This included 125 instances of driving under the influence, 401 without a valid driver's license. There were also 35 violations regarding registration plates, 1 for driving with sirens or flashing lights, 1,169 for driving without a seatbelt, 88 for using tobacco products while driving, 142 for using a phone while driving, 52 instances of pedestrians crossing in non-designated areas, 571 for speeding, and 1,927 other violations. Additionally, 206 vehicles were operated without a compulsory insurance contract, 1,130 had not passed technical inspection, and 603 had faulty lighting equipment, comprising 40 trucks, as well as 325 with tinted windshields and side windows. Furthermore, 24 individuals were arrested and taken to police stations on various suspicions.
