This is a message to all heads of agencies: Minasian

The Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia is investigating the instances of inadequate work recorded by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in regional institutions. Justice Minister Grigor Minasian announced this during a press conference today.

"The process of announcing competitions is being examined, or if the work has been handed over, whether the handover-acceptance acts have been signed or not. There are discrepancies in all of this," he said.

Grigor Minasian assured that if any discrepancies are recorded, there will be proceedings, and the inadequate performance of duties will not go unpunished. "Currently, all processes are transparent and open. This is a message to all heads of agencies about how to work and what new standards are being set by the country’s leadership," the minister noted.

According to Minasian, two governors have already been dismissed, and sanctions have been applied to some officials.

It is worth noting that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited several schools in the Lori province on January 3 to familiarize himself with the government's work. He noted a number of violations, which resulted in the dismissal of Lori Governor Aram Khachatryan and the head of the Urban Development Committee, Armen Ghulyan.

On January 5, he visited the Armavir province, after which Governor Edward Hovhannisyan was also dismissed.
