There is a way to defeat the Russian Federation: Zelensky

In the long term, it is possible to protect Europe from Russia only by creating a unified European arms industry. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during the Swedish 'Society and Defense' conference.

The Ukrainian leader declared that Russia is conducting a 'hybrid war' against significant parts of Europe. According to Zelensky, Russia can be defeated, but 'solidarity is required' for this.

Zelensky stated that Ukraine exists and will always be one of the 'most significant donors of European security', and Kyiv aims to acquire the best weapons and technologies in the world to ensure its own security and that of its partners.

His priorities include the implementation of Brussels' decision to start negotiations regarding Ukraine's membership in the European Union, as well as the development of relations and communications with NATO members, so that 'each leader feels 100 percent that NATO will significantly strengthen with Ukraine', he noted.

Russian authorities have repeatedly criticized the US and EU for providing military assistance to Kyiv. Moscow opposes NATO's membership for Ukraine, and President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stated that it threatens Russia’s security. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed the opinion that the EU is merging with NATO and is following its lead.
