Emergency Incident in Tavush: Fire Breaks Out in Vehicle Serving the Deputy Commander of Berd Military Unit
Today, January 8, an emergency incident occurred in the Tavush region. At approximately 19:30, the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Rescue Service received a report that a vehicle was on fire on the stretch of road from Dilijan to Berd. Reports have been provided by Shamsyan.
At the scene, patrol officers Artak Grigoryan and Arkadi Nersisyan cordoned off the area to allow firefighters to operate safely.
It was determined that the vehicle, a UAZ model, had completely turned into a pile of ash. Fortunately, preliminary information indicates that there were no injuries.
According to the information from the photojournalist, the burning vehicle was registered under the Armenian Ministry of Defense and served the deputy commander of the Berd military unit.
Initial reports suggest that the fire was caused by issues related to the vehicle's wiring.
The head of the Tavush Regional Department of the National Police, Arthur Mkrtchyan, and the head of the Military Police of the Ministry of Defense arrived at the scene.
