There Are Closed and Impassable Roads

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed and impassable roads within the territory of Armenia.

The roads leading from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to the Amberd fortress and Lake Kari are closed. The Tigranashen bends (black ice) and the Vardenyats Pass are impassable for trucks with trailers (it is recommended to use chains).

In the Gegharkunik region, there is black ice in certain sections of the roads in the Aparan and Ashotsk regions, as well as on the Mastara-Lanjik and Sisian-"Zanger" routes.

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is closed for trucks.

It is reminded that until February 15, due to road renovation works, the Vanadzor-Alaverdi section of the M-6 highway, specifically the segment between the 38th and 40th kilometers, will be closed to buses and trucks with trailers or semitrailers. An alternative route will be operational using the town of Noyemberyan.
