Snow and Blizzard: Situation on Armenia's Roads

As of January 5 at 19:50, snow is falling in the regions of Gavar, Aparan, Ashotsk, Jermuk, Sisian, Goris, and Meghri, as well as on the Tigranashen-Zangakatun road section, and at the Vardenyats and Saravan mountain passes. This information has been reported by the Road Department Foundation.

In the Sisian area known as 'Zangers', a blizzard is occurring. The Vardenyats pass is impassable for vehicles with trailers. Other interstate and national significance highways are open.

Road construction teams are carrying out cleaning and treatment work with salt and sand on the roads. To avoid accidents and congestion, drivers are advised to travel only with winter tires.
